Network configuration workflow

Figure-1 shows the network configuration workflow, and Table-1 describes the configuration steps.

Procedure	Description
Create a network	Required. Configure the name, network egress, and compute AZ for the network, and then create subnets in the network to specify the available network segments.
Create a subnet	Required. A subnet provides private IP addresses to cloud hosts in the private cloud. Both IPv4 and IPv6 network addresses are supported.
Create a router and attach it to a firewall	Optional. Attach subnets and firewalls to routers to enable and protect the communication between cloud hosts. This task requires the network and security services provided by UIS-Sec.
Attach subnets to a router	Optional. Subnets attached to the same router can communicate with each other. This task requires the network and security services provided by UIS-Sec.
Configure a border gateway for a router	Optional. Configure a border gateway for a router attached with a firewall to enable the cloud hosts to access the Internet. This task requires the network and security services provided by UIS-Sec.
