An LS81PT4GA LPU provides four SC/PC EPON optical ports. The distance between an SC/PC EPON port on it and an ONU device can be up to 10 km (6.2 mi).

l An LS81PT8GA LPU can operate with the presence of an LS81T12PE, an LS81P12TE, a Salience III, or a Salience III Edge SRPUs only.
l For S7500 series switches with Salience III or Salience III Edge SRPUs installed, an LS81PT8GA LPU cannot be installed in the sixth LPU slot of an S7506 or S7506R switch, but it can be installed in any LPU slot of an S7503 switch.
