Create or request a power host

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select Power Hosts from the Compute menu.

  1. Click Create if you are a system or organization administrator. Click Request if you are a user.

  1. Configure basic settings, network and security settings, and system settings as described in Table-4.

  1. Click OK.

System Disk/Data Disk

Configure storage resources, including a system disk and a data disk. A data disk is a cloud disk used for permanent storage, while the system disk created for a power host provides only temporary storage. When a power host is destroyed, the data on its system disk is deleted, and the data on its data disk remains intact. You can select a data disk during power host creation or attach a cloud disk as a data disk to a power host as described in "Attach a cloud disk" after power host creation. For more information about creating cloud disks, see "About cloud disks."

Network

Assign an IP address to the power host.

Authentication Policy

Generate

Enable the device to generate a VNC password. To view the VNC password, click the name of the power host in the power host list and then click the  icon for the VNC password in the Basic Info area.

Set

Enter a password manually.

Image Default Password

Use the default password of the image. The image default password is the password used for logging in to the VM from which the image is created.
