You can use the CVM trial version for 180 days. You can apply for a license to upgrade the trial version to the official version. The trial version and the official version have the same functions. To obtain a license, please contact the franchiser.
License management enables you to view the license details, apply for a license, and register the license.
You can register a license through local licensing or license server licensing.
Only the enterprise and enhanced enterprise editions support site recovery management (SRM). To use disaster recovery management, please request an enterprise or enhanced enterprise edition license.
The disk backup disaster recovery and heterogeneous migration features require dedicated licenses. For more information, see the license usage guide.
The container engine feature requires a dedicated license. For more information, see the licesne usage guide.
If you deploy CIC and CVM on the same server, follow these restrictions:
Register CVM and CIC licenses by using the same method (either local licensing or license server licensing).
CIC and CVM share license server licensing parameters. To ensure successful licensing, configure the parameters only for CIC or CVM.
If the number of CIC VMs is still limited after you license the CVM enhanced enterprise edition, follow this procedure to resolve the issue:
Register the CIC license through license server licensing.
Click OK at the prompt to switch to the CIC enhanced enterprise edition.
