Manage snapshot policies

You can manage snapshots for cloud hosts in the following ways:

Creating snapshot policies requires using specific CAS versions. For more information, see Key Features and Software Platforms Compatibility Matrix.

Create a snapshot policy

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select Cloud Hosts from the Compute menu.

  1. From the navigation tree, select Virtualization Snapshot Strategies.

  1. Click Create.

  1. Configure the following parameters:

  1. Click Next.

  1. On the page that opens, click Add.

  1. Select cloud hosts, and then click Add. To remove cloud hosts, select the hosts and click Remove.

  1. Click Next.

  1. On the page that opens, set the frequency and date and time settings.

  1. Click Finish.

Enable or disable a snapshot policy

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select Cloud Hosts from the Compute menu.

  1. From the navigation tree, select Virtualization Snapshot Strategies.

  1. Click On or Close in the Actions column for the target snapshot policy.

  1. Click OK.

Edit a snapshot policy

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select Cloud Hosts from the Compute menu.

  1. From the navigation tree, select Virtualization Snapshot Strategies.

  1. Click Edit in the Actions column for the target snapshot policy.

  1. Edit the parameters.

  1. Click Finish.

Delete a snapshot policy

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select Cloud Hosts from the Compute menu.

  1. From the navigation tree, select Virtualization Snapshot Strategies.

  1. Click Delete in the Actions column for the target snapshot policy.

  1. Click OK.
