Edit a firewall rule

You can perform this task to edit the enabling status, IP version, action, IPS policy, anti-virus policy, and description of a firewall rule. If the match mode is Five-Tuple, you can edit the protocol, source IP and destination IP. If the match mode is Object Group, you can edit the source object group, destination object group, and service object group.

 

Editing a firewall rule sets the audit state of the firewall to deactivated. For the changes to take effect, you must set the audit state to activated manually.

 

To edit a firewall rule:

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select Firewalls Service from the Network menu.

  1. Click the name of the target firewall.

  1. On the Firewall Rules tab, click Edit for the target firewall rule.

  1. Edit rule parameters and then click OK.

Export firewall rules

You can export firewall rules for backup or for bulk rule adding to another firewall. You can export selected rules on one page, export all rules on one page, or export all rules of a firewall.

To export firewall rules:

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select Firewalls Service from the Network menu.

  1. Click the name of the target firewall.

  1. On the Firewall Rules tab, perform one of the following tasks:

The rules will be exported as a .csv file.

Delete firewall rules

Deleting firewall rules sets the audit state of the firewall to deactivated. For the changes to take effect, you must set the audit state to activated manually.

 

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select Firewalls Service from the Network menu.

  1. Click the name of the target firewall.

  1. On the Firewall Rules tab, perform either of the following tasks:
