Manage virtual switches

Perform this task to edit or delete virtual switches on a host and view virtual interface traffic.

Edit a virtual switch

This task might cause VM network anomaly. When you perform this task, make sure you are fully aware of its impacts.

 

  1. From the navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization > Host pool name > Cluster name > Host name.

  1. Click the vSwitches tab.

  1. Configure Edit for the target virtual switch.

  1. Configure virtual switch parameters as needed, and then click OK.

Delete a virtual switch

You cannot delete a virtual switch that is being used.

 

  1. From the navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization > Host pool name > Cluster name > Host name.

  1. Click the vSwitches tab.

  1. Configure Delete for the target virtual switch.

  1. Click OK.

View virtual interface traffic

  1. From the navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization > Host pool name > Cluster name > Host name.

  1. Click the vSwitches tab.

  1. Click the target virtual switch. The Virtual Interface Traffic list below will display interface traffic information for the virtual switch.
