Create a restore point for a VM

Perform this task to create a restore point for a shutdown VM. Then, you can use the restore point to restore the VM to the state when the restore point was created. For more information about restoring VMs, see "Restore VMs."

Prerequisites

Make sure the VM is in shutdown state before creating a restore point.

Restrictions and guidelines

Procedure

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Compute.

  2. From the left navigation pane, select Resource Navigation > All > Resources > Host Pool Name > Host Name > VM Name or Compute > Host Pool Name > Cluster Name > Host Name > VM Name.

  3. Click More, and then select Create Recovery Point.

  4. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
