Configure backup parameters

After you configure backup parameters, the system will use these parameters as the default values

Procedure

On the top navigation bar, click Security.
From the left navigation pane, select Data Security > Backup Center > VM Backup.
Click the Backup Parameters tab.
Click Edit.
Edit the parameters as needed.
Click OK.

Disk Read Rate Limit: Specify the limit on the read rate of the storage volume that stores the VM disk files.
Disk Write Rate Limit: Specify the limit on the write rate of the storage volume that stores the backup file.
Compress: Set whether to compress the disk image during backup.
CBT Backup: Select whether to enable CBT backup for the VM. CBT backs up only the data that has changed since the last backup, which saves time and system resources.
Temp Directory: Enter the temporary directory used during backup. If the directory you specify does not exist, the system automatically creates the directory during backup.
Retained Full Backup Files: Specify the number of full backup files to be retained in the same backup directory. If you do not specify this parameter, the number of full backup files to be retained is not limited.
