Configure the anti-virus service

Perform this task to protect hosts in CVM from potential attacks.

You can configure, upload, and install anti-virus packages for the hosts.

If you use the anti-virus software from AsiaInfo, follow these guidelines:

Restrictions and guidelines

In RBAC mode, only a security administrator can configure the anti-virus service. A system administrator can view anti-virus configuration but cannot upload, check the installation state of, install, and uninstall anti-virus packages.

Do not close the window or browser during the uploading process.

If you select QI-ANXIN as the anti-virus software manufacturer, configure port policies to permit the ports used by the QI-ANXIN Cloud Security service.

The QI-ANXIN Legendsec Unified Server Security Management System supports only IPv4 Syslog servers.

Procedure

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Security.

  2. From the left navigation pane, select Anti-Virus.

  3. If you select AsiaInfo as the anti-virus software manufacturer, perform the following tasks:

    1. Select a host type, and enter the directory for saving the anti-virus package.

    2. Click any area of the dotted area to select an anti-virus package.

    3. Click Start to upload the anti-virus package.

      After the anti-virus package is successfully uploaded, the system automatically installs the anti-virus package for CVK hosts.

    4. Click Check to check the installation state of the anti-virus package on each host.

    5. To manually install the anti-virus package for a host, click Install in the Actions column for the host or click Install next to the OK button.

  4. If you select QI-ANXIN as the anti-virus software manufacturer, perform the following tasks:

    1. Configure the basic parameters and Syslog alarm settings as described in "Parameters."

    2. Click OK.
