Display Top N hosts or VMs statistics

Perform this task to view the information about hosts or VMs with the highest resource usage such as CPU or memory usage. You can set criteria to filter the statistics and save the results to the local disk.

Procedure

On the top navigation bar, click Ops.
From the left navigation pane, select System Ops > Report Statistics > Top N Statistics.
To filter Top N host statistics, perform the following tasks:
1. Click the Hosts tab.
2. Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."
3. Click Filter.
  The TopN host statistics are displayed on the area below.
To filter TopN VM statistics, perform the following tasks:
1. Click the VMs tab.
2. Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."
3. Click Filter.
  The TopN VM statistics are displayed on the area below.
To view the statistics information for a host or VM, hover the mouse on the column of the host or VM.
To view the statistics information page of the host or VM, double-click the column in the chart.
To save the statistics as a picture, click the Save icon .
To export the TopN statistics, click Export.

Restrictions and guidelines

If the name length of a host or VM in the statistics information exceeds seven characters, only the first seven characters will be displayed.

Parameters

Host Pool/Cluster: Select a host pool or cluster.
Host Pool/Cluster/Host: Select a host from the selected host pool or cluster. This parameter is available after you select a host pool.
Date: Specify the start time and end time for statistics filter. The start time cannot be later than the end time. The default start time is the day before the current day. The end time cannot be earlier than the start time. The default end time is the day before the current day.
TopN: Select the number of hosts or VMs to be queried. Options include Top 5 and Top 10.
Statistics Items: Select the statistics items.
CPU Usage: Average CPU usage of hosts or VMs in the specified time period.
Memory Usage: Average memory usage of hosts or VMs in the specified time period.
Total Network Traffic: Average total traffic sent or received by hosts or VMs in the specified time period.
Network Read Traffic: Average traffic received by hosts or VMs in the specified time period.
Network Write Traffic: Average traffic sent by hosts or VMs in the specified time period.
Disk I/O Throughput: Average disk I/O throughput of hosts or VMs in the specified time period.
