The selected authentication mode on the CIFS Share Authentication page is the current authentication mode for CIFS share users.
After you enable local user authentication, only local users can access CIFS shares.
To configure local user authentication:
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select File Storage > Users from the navigation pane.
Click the CIFS Share Authentication tab.
Select Local User Authentication.
Click Apply.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
After you enable AD authentication, both AD users and local users can access CIFS shares.
To configure AD authentication:
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select File Storage > Users from the navigation pane.
Click the CIFS Share Authentication tab.
Select AD Authentication.
Set the parameters as described in "Parameters."
Click Apply.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
After you enable LDAP authentication, both LDAP users and local users can access CIFS shares.
To configure LDAP authentication:
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select File Storage > Users from the navigation pane.
Click the CIFS Share Authentication tab.
Select LDAP Authentication.
Click Apply.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
After you enable anonymous access, all users can access CIFS shares.
To configure anonymous access:
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select File Storage > Users from the navigation pane.
Click the CIFS Share Authentication tab.
Select Anonymous Access.
Click Apply.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
FQDN: Enter the name of the domain to which the user belongs.
Domain DNS Server: Enter the IP address of the DNS server.
Backup Domain DNS Server: Enter the IP address of the backup DNS server. This field is optional.
Domain Administrator Name: Enter the name of the administrator who manages the domain.
Domain Administrator Password: Enter the password of the administrator who manages the domain.
