A map file is a collection of commands. After you specify a map file on the AC, the AC will issue the commands in the file to the specified AP when the AP is in Run state. The AP is configured according to the commands, but the AP does not save the configurations.
For features that do not support direct configuration through the AC, you can use a map file to manage and update the configuration of large-scale AP deployment. This enhances network operation efficiency and accuracy.
Configure a map file as shown in the following figure:
To configure basic settings:
From the left navigation pane, select Configure > AP Config > AP Group > Map Files.
Click the Edit icon
in the Actions column for the target AP group.
Click Add on the Map Files tab to add a file for specific APs. You can specify a file that already exists on the device, select a local file, or create a new map file.
One by One: Configure map files for a specific AP model.
Bulk: Configure map files for multiple AP models.
After the configuration, click Submit.
