View online statistics

Perform this task to view statistics about online users, login details, number of online users, and online duration.

Online users List

Perform this task to view online user information, log off, log out, and export online users.

Restrictions and guidelines

To facilitate user connection to virtual applications at the next time, when a user disconnects from a virtual application due to abnormal client or terminal shutdown, Space Console might maintain the connection. That is, the Online Users page still displays that the user is connected to the virtual application.

View online users

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

    You are placed on the Online Users List tab.

  2. View information about all online users.

    • Login Name: Login name of the user.

    • Username: Name of the user.

    • User/Endpoint Group: User group to which the user or endpoint belongs.

    • Host: Name of the host to which the desktop belongs.

    • Desktop Name: Name of the desktop used for user connection.

    • Desktop IP: IP address of the desktop for the user.

    • Virtual Application Name: Name of the virtual application for the user.

    • Endpoint Name: Name of the endpoint.

    • Endpoint IP: IP address of the endpoint.

    • Endpoint MAC Address: MAC address of the endpoint.

    • Endpoint OS: Operating system running on the endpoint.

    • Endpoint Type: Type of the endpoint.

    • Desktop Type: Type of the desktop, including common desktop, shared desktop, and virtual application.

    • Client Version: Version of the client installed on the endpoint.

    • Effective Policy: Name of the policy group that takes effect on a user.

    • Access through Gateway: Whether the user accesses the cloud desktop through a gateway.

    • Login Protocol: Protocol used for logging in to the desktop,including VDP, RDP, and Transparent Transmission.

    • Agent Version: Version of the agent installed on the cloud desktop.

    • SpaceAgent Verison: Version of the SpaceAgent installed on the endpoint.

    • User Authorization Group: Authorization group to which the current user belongs,including Administrators, Remote Desktops Users, Power Users, and Users.

    • Online Duration: Online duration of the desktop.

Log off online users

Logging off VDI users will disconnect users from the desktop and return to the desktop list page. Logging off IDV or VOI users will shut down the endpoints, so save data before a log-off operation.

To log off online users:

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

    You are placed on the Online Users List tab.

  2. Select target users, and then click Log Off.

  3. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Log out online users

This feature is available only for VDI users. After a user is logged out, the user disconnects from the desktop and returns to the desktop list. At the same time, the operating system of the user desktop is logged out and returns to the system login page.

To log out users:

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

    You are placed on the Online Users List tab.

  2. Select one or multiple users, click Logout.

  3. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Bind a user to the IP and MAC addresses of the endpoint it is using

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

    You are placed on the Online Users List tab.

  2. Select a user, and then click Bind User to IP&MAC.

    To access a desktop, a user must have been bound to the IP and MAC addresses of the endpoint that the user is using. Desktop access is denied if the user uses an incorrect IP address or MAC address. You can bind multiple users to an endpoint IP address and MAC address pair

  3. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Export all online users

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

    You are placed on the Online Users List tab.

  2. Click Export All. All online user information will be automatically exported to an Excel file in the download directory of the browser.

Use remote assistance

Perform this task on Space Console to provide remote assistance for users using shared desktops or virtual applications.

  • This function is implemented based on Windows Remote Assistance and takes effect only on shared desktops or virtual applications.

  • Shared desktops running Windows Server 2016 do not support remote assistance.

  • Remote assistance on virtual applications running Windows Server 2019 might cause window shadows when the administrator moves the Windows Remote Assistance window.

  • Make sure that the administrator and the users use the same resolution and DPI settings when the remote assistance is performed on a shared desktop running Windows Server 2012 R2. Otherwise, the system might incorrectly display the Windows Remote Assistance window.

  • Do not minimize and then maximize the remote connection window on the user side when the remote assistance is performed on a shared desktop running Windows Server 2012 R2. Otherwise, the Windows Remote Assistance window on the administrator side might be black and cannot be restored.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

    You are placed on the Online Users List tab.

  2. Select the target user, and click the icon.

  3. Configure the Connection Password in Invitation File parameter, and click OK.

  4. Open the .msrcincident invitation file downloaded automatically by the browser, and the system displays the Windows Remote Assistance window.

    The Windows Remote Assistance window is also displayed on the user's shared desktop or virtual application. The user does not need to perform any operation.

  5. Enter the configured connection password in the Windows Remote Assistance window, and click OK to initiate a remote assistance request to the user.

    The system displays a permission prompt on the user's shared desktop or virtual application, the user can click Yes to allow the connection from the administrator.

  6. After the user allows the remote assistance connection, view the user's shared desktop or virtual application from the Windows Remote Assistance window and perform remote assistance.

    The system displays Remote assistance is in progress on the Windows Remote Assistance window on the user's shared desktop or virtual application. The user can suspend remote assistance, stop remote assistance, and chat with the administrator from the Windows Remote Assistance window.

Client log collection

This feature is used to collect logs from the client where the online user is located, and only supports VDI-type clients.

To collect client log information:

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

    You are placed on the Online Users List tab.

  2. Click the Client log collection for the target online user in the Actions column. Click OK in the dialog box that opens. You are directly redirected to the terminal log page, and you can view the collected corresponding client logs.

Login records

View login records

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

  2. Click the Login Records tab.

  3. View login records of all users during the retention period.

    • Login Name: Login name of the user.

    • Username: Name of the user.

    • User/Endpoint Group: User group to which the user or endpoint belongs.

    • Host: Name of the host to which the desktop belongs.

    • Desktop Name: Name of the cloud desktop used for user connection.

    • Desktop IP: IP address of the desktop for the user.

    • Desktop OS: Operating system installed on the desktop.

    • Virtual Application Name: Name of the virtual application for the user.

    • Endpoint Name: Name of the endpoint used by the user.

    • Endpoint IP: IP address of the endpoint.

    • Endpoint MAC Address: MAC address of the endpoint.

    • Endpoint OS: Operating system running on the endpoint.

    • Endpoint Type: Endpoint type used in connecting to the cloud desktop.

    • Desktop Type: Type of the desktop, including common desktop, shared desktop, and virtual application.

    • Client Version: Version of the client installed on the endpoint.

    • Authentication Type: Authentication type used in logging in to the client.

    • Access through Gateway: Whether the user accesses the cloud desktop through a gateway.

    • Login Protocol: Protocol used for connecting to the cloud desktop,including VDP, RDP, and Transparent Transmission.

    • Connection Mode: Method used for connecting to the cloud desktop, including Client and Browser.

    • Agent Version: Version of Agent installed on the cloud desktop.

    • SpaceAgent Version: Version of SpaceAgent installed on the endpoint.

    • Login Time: Time when a user logs in to the cloud desktop.

    • Logout Time: Time when a user logs out the cloud desktop.

    • Online Duration: Online duration of the desktop.

    • ID: VM UUID, which is a unique identifier for a VM in Space Console.

Set the retention period for login records

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

  2. Click the Login Records tab.

  3. Click Set Retention Period.

  4. Set the retention period, and then click OK.

Download login records

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics..

  2. Click the Login Records tab.

  3. Click Download.

  4. Enter the start date and end date.

  5. Perform the following tasks as needed:

    1. Select a desktop pool to download login records. By default, the system selects all desktop pools.

    2. Select whether the user accesses the cloud desktop through a gateway. By default, this parameter is not configured, which indicates that all login records will be downloaded.

  6. Click OK.

User online trends

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

  2. Click the User Online Trends tab.

    By default, the number of online users and online gateway users is displayed in a line graph.

  3. Click Desktop Pool or Desktop Pool Group above the graph to view the number of online users and online gateway users in a desktop pool or a desktop pool group. Desktop pool groups for statistics can refer to only custom groups, and cannot include the default group.

  4. Perform the following tasks as required:

    • Click the icon to display the statistics in data view.

    • Click the icon to download the line graph as a picture.

View the online duration

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Monitor Reports > Reports > Statistics > Online User Statistics.

  2. Click the User Online Duration tab. Configure the filter criteria and then click Query to view the user online duration information in a line graph. Filter criteria include the Top N, metric (longest or shortest), and time span.

  3. Click the Details tab. This tab displays detailed data about user online durations.
