Perform this task to edit network settings for hosts in a cluster in response to network plan or environment changes after the Workspace initial deployment finishes. Before editing network settings, plan the networks to make sure the networks are reachable to each other after modification.
| For services to operate correctly, edit network settings only when necessary and under the guidance of professionals. |
Make sure all hosts are in maintenance mode and each management node and service node are reachable to each other.
If the campus space is deployed in the education scenario, stop the campus space on the Applications > Campus Space page of Space Console.
Before editing network settings, plan the networks to make sure the networks are reachable to each other after modification.
Do not perform this task when cluster configuration is abnormal.
This feature is not supported in a two-node HCI deployment scenario where dedicated monitor nodes exist.
In separate deployment mode, management network configuration modification is not supported on the management platform. If you need to make changes, see H3C Workspace Cloud Desktop Maintenance Guide.
The storage front-end and back-end networks cannot be edited in the HCI scenario.
This feature is not supported on hosts that use a Kylin operating system.
This feature is not supported on hosts of the IPv6 network type.
After you change network settings, the original settings do not take effect and the server will restart. Please record the new settings and use the new settings to log in after the server restarts.
Network setting modification takes a long period of time. Do not perform any operations during this process.
If management data has been backed up, do not use the backup data to restore the system after you change the management network IP.
For a VM that uses a static IP, you must change the IP address of the VM if the new management IP address is on a different segment than the original management IP address.
Make sure the new management IP address is reachable to third-party components such as LDAP server, domain server, mail server, shared storage, Space Center address, and license server.
Virtual IP information is displayed on the host network configuration page only after a stateful failover system is set up.
From the left navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization.
Click Host Network Configuration.
Click Edit.
Edit the information as needed, and then click OK.
In the dialog box that opens after the modification, select I am fully aware of the impacts of this operation, enter the administrator password, and then click OK.
From the left navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization.
Click Host Network Configuration.
Click the Configuration Record tab.
Click View in the Actions column for a configuration record, and then enter the administrator password.
Virtual IP & Storage Info
Virtual IP/Mask: Specify the IP address/mask for accessing Space Console. The IP address must be an IP address not in use. As a best practice, use this IP address to access Space Console.
Service Network IP/Mask: Specify the service network VIP/mask. Specify this parameter if the management network and the service network are isolated and the VM network is on the service network in a stateful failover system. This parameter ensures that VMs on the service network can correctly communicate with the management platform after primary/backup switchover. Make sure the virtual IP address of the service network and the service network IP addresses of the vSwitches of the primary and standby management nodes are on the same network segment.
Quorum Host IP/Mask: Specify the IP address of a gateway that can be accessed or the IP address of a host that is always reachable. The quorum IP address is used to check the network connectivity of the hosts. As a best practice, specify the IP address of a gateway. You must specify two different quorum IP addresses if you select the Ping quorum mode.
Quorum Host IP/Mask: Specify the IP address/mask of the quorum host. The quorum host must have Space Console installed.
Quorum Host Gateway: Specify the gateway address used by the quorum node.
Quorum Mode: Select a quorum mode. Options include Advanced and Ping.
Advanced—When the primary and backup hosts cannot communicate with each other, they send their respective state information to the quorum host. The quorum host determines the role of each node and sends the role information to the nodes. The quorum host must have Space Console installed. As a best practice, use a host in the cluster as a quorum host.
Ping—When the primary and backup hosts cannot communicate with each other, they ping the quorum IP addresses. If a node fails to ping any quorum IP address, the node determines that it has network failures and becomes a backup node.
Storage Component VIP: Specify the virtual IP address used for high availability management of the distributed storage system. The virtual IP address can be automatically assigned or manually configured. It must be an unused IP address in the management network.
