Before you create shared file system storage, make sure the target iSCSI SAN or FC SAN is readable, writable, and reachable. If you fail to do so, shared storage configuration might fail, or the shared storage might be unavailable. Please set the size of shared storage appropriately as needed.
From the navigation pane, select System > Failover System Management > Shared Storage.
Click Create.
Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."
Click OK.
Target Path: Enter the mount point of the shared storage, /vms/xxxx for example. The path for a local file directory or local synchronization partition must begin with /vms/, while the path for shared storage of any other type cannot begin with /vms/.
Type: Select a storage pool type for the shared storage.
Configure the following parameters if you select the iSCSI shared directory:
IP Address: Enter the IP address of an iSCSI shard directory.
LUN: Select a LUN.
Configure the NAA parameter if you select the FC shared directory:
NAA: Select an NAA.
Configure the following parameters if you select network file system (NFS):
Source Host IP: Enter the IP address of the source host.
Source Path: Enter the path of a file system on the source host.
If you select GlusterFS storage, you can
select only GlusterFS storage of the stateful failover storage type. If no
stateful failover storage exists, first click GlusterFS settings to create stateful failover storage. After completing the
configuration, clickand select storage.
From the navigation pane, select System > Failover System Management > Shared Storage.
Click Delete for a shared storage entry.
Click OK.
From the navigation pane, select System > Failover System Management > Shared Storage.
Click More for a shared storage entry, and then select Details.
From the navigation pane, select System > Failover System Management > Shared Storage.
Click More for a shared storage entry, and then select Enable.
Click OK.
Click More for a shared storage entry, and then select Suspend.
