Perform this task to configure the password complexity and password validity period. The password policy takes effect on all operators. The password policy defines the minimum length, complexity requirement, and validity period of the passwords.
Modifications to the password policy immediately take effect on operators going to register on UIS Manager and take effect on registered operators after their passwords expire.
On the top navigation bar, click System, and then select Security Management > Password Policy from the navigation pane.
Configure the password policy parameters as described in "Parameters."
Click Save.
Min. Length: Specify the minimum password length.
Complexity: Select a password complexity requirement. Options include Not Limited, Contains Letters and Digits, Contains Special Characters, Contains Letters, Digits, and Special Characters, and Contains Upper-Case and Lower-Case Letters, Digits, and Special Characters. For more information about the special characters, see the special character table.
Validity Period: Specify the password validity period.
