The system provides a disk failure prediction AI model based on disk history data by using Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T) to predict disk failures that might occur in the future. This feature allows the O&M team to back up data and replace disks before disks failure to avoid data loss.
|
This feature requires the hard disks to support LSI array card/P460 PMC card and have a SATA interface. If SMART monitoring information of a hard disk cannot be obtained, check if the disk interface and RAID card type are compatible with the disk failure prediction feature. |
Only Seagate SATA disks on normal hosts support this feature.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select Storage Management > Disk Failure Prediction from the navigation pane.
Click Predict.
To view prediction results for all disks, click All. To view prediction results for disks in risk state, click Risk.
Prediction Result: The prediction result of a disk can be normal or risk. Please back up data for disks in risk state or replace the disks to avoid data loss.
