To ensure the fair use of storage space, use quotas to control the storage resources that a tenant can use. You can configure a quota in terms of storage space or number of files.
If both the maximum capacity or maximum object count are configured, whichever is reached first takes effect.
Changing a threshold to a value smaller than the used capacity or object quantity does not delete existing objects but you cannot upload objects any more. To upload new objects, you must delete some objects until the used space or object quantity is lower than the new threshold.
If a threshold is exceeded, an error message is displayed on the client.
When you use S3cmd to perform a multipart write operation for a file, some objects will fail to be written to the system if the file size plus the used capacity exceeds a threshold.
On the top navigation bar, click Storage, and then select Object Storage > Tenants from the navigation pane.
Select a tenant, and then click Quota.
To enable a quota, click Enable, enter the maximum capacity and maximum object count, and then click OK.
To disable a quota, click Disable, and then click OK.
Maximum Capacity: Specify the maximum storage space allowed.
