If the storage arrays of the protected site and recovery site support SRAs, you must configure storage array managers for the sites. After you add the sites and storage array managers, synchronize the storage replication information. You can configure site recovery settings through the management platform of one site and synchronize them to the other site.
When the password of the protection or recovery site management platform contains special character `, the storage replication disaster recovery feature is not available. In this scenario, you must first change the password.
Disk backup-based disaster recovery does not require storage array managers.
A user that is not a system administrator group member cannot add or configure a site.
A UIS Manager that has a site configured cannot be configured as a remote site for another UIS Manager.
A site that has been bound to a protection group cannot be deleted.
No storage array manager is required if the storage array corresponding to the site does not support SRA.
A connectivity test fails if the hosts on the site cannot access the storage array manager.
A storage array manager that has devices with mappings configured cannot be edited or deleted.
A host that has a storage pool attached in storage replication disaster recovery cannot be configured as a failover host in cluster HA.

Site information
Site Name: Enter the name of the site.
Site Type: Select a site type. Options include Local and Remote.
Local—Current UIS Manager.
Remote—Other UIS Managers. The site added the first is a local site, and the subsequent sites are remote sites.
IP: Specify the IP address of the site.
Username: Enter the username used for connecting to the site.
Password: Enter the password used for connecting to the site. No username and password are required if you set the site type to local. The username and password for the logged-in user are used.
Storage array information
Type: Manufacturer for the storage array.
Name: Enter the name of the storage array manager.
IP: Specify the IP address of the storage array. This IP address is the management IP address of the storage environment.
Username: Enter the username used for connecting to the storage array manager.
Password: Enter the password used for connecting to the storage array manager.
Multipathing: Select whether to enable multipathing. To configure storage arrays in HCI deployment, you must enable this feature and configure the IP address for multipathing.
IP Address for Multipathing: Enter the storage network IP addresses of the storage environment. These IP addresses are the IP addresses configured during storage pool creation. If you enter multiple IP addresses, multipathing is automatically implemented on the storage side.
Storage replication information
Local LUN: Name of the local storage LUN.
Replication Direction: Replication direction of the LUNs.
Remote LUN: Name of the remote storage LUN.
