You can attach a private domain name to either VPCs or routers in a classic network.
After you attach private domain names to VPCs, the system adds the newly-created cloud hosts in the VPCs as A records automatically, providing mappings between private domain names and cloud host IP addresses. An A record added in this task is named with the corresponding host name. For the hosts already in the VPCs before you attach private domain names to the VPCs, you must add them as A recordsets manually.

You can attach a domain name to multiple VPCs, and each VPC can be attached to only one domain name. |
On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select DNS from the Network menu.
Click More and then select Attach to VPC in the Actions column for a private domain name.
Select one or multiple VPCs, and then click OK.
After you attach a private domain name to a VPC, create cloud hosts in the VPC, for example, example1, example2, and example3. The system adds the cloud hosts as A recordsets of the domain name automatically. To view the recordsets, click the domain name. The recordsets are displayed on the Recordsets tab. An A recordset added in this task is named with the corresponding host name.
After you attach private domain names to routers in a classic network, the system automatically adds the newly-created cloud hosts in the subnets to which the routers are attached as A records. This can provide mappings between private domain names and cloud host IP addresses. An A record added in this task is named with the corresponding host name. For the hosts already in the subnets before you attach private domain names to routers, you must add them as A recordsets manually.
