Send notifications through a third-party platform

Perform this task to provide alarms and workflow approval notifications services for users.

The system does not support deleting notifications settings.

 

Connect the system to an email server

Make sure the mail box you use can receive emails successfully.

 

  1. On the top navigation bar, click System.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select System Settings > Basic Settings.

  1. On the Notification Settings page, click Configuration for Email Service Connection.

  1. Edit email service connection settings as needed.

Parameter

Description

Email Server Address

Enter the IP address or domain name of the email server.

Port Number

Enter the port number used by the email server.

Use SSL/TLS

Select whether to use SSL or TLS for secure connection to the email server.

Sender's Email Address

Enter the email address of the sender.

Sender Identity Verification

Select whether to enable sender identity verification. If you enable this function, you must configure a username and password.

 

  1. Click OK.

Connect the system to an SMS server

  1. On the Notification Settings page, click Configuration for SMS Service Connection.

  1. Edit SMS service connection parameters as needed.

Parameter

Description

SMS Platform

Select an SMS platform. Options include EMAY SMS and Montnets SMS.

User Serial Number

Enter the serial number obtained from EMAY or Montnets.

Username + Password

Enter the username and password obtained from EMAY or Montnets.

SMS Server Address

Enter the IP address of the EMAY SMS server or Montnets SMS server.

SMS Server Port Number

Enter the port number of the EMAY SMS server or Montnets SMS server.

Default Signature

Enter the default signature of the short message.

Test Phone Number

Enter the phone number used for sending test messages.

 

  1. Click OK.

Connect the system to the WeChat platform

·          Prepare an elastic IP and corresponding domain name for WeChat notifications.

·          For the system in an internal network to communicate with WeChat, first configure DNS and NAT settings and map port 80 of an elastic network to port 11460 of the service IP of the system.

 

  1. On the Notification Settings page, click Configuration for WeChat Service Connection.

  1. Configure WeChat service connection parameters as needed.

Parameter

Description

Subscription Account App ID

Enter the app ID used for applying for an official account.

Subscription Account App Secret

Enter the secret used for applying for an official account.

WeChat Server Address

Enter the server address provided by WeChat. The default value is https://api.weixin.qq.com.

Message Encryption Key

Enter the message encryption key {EncodingAESKey).

Network Mode

Select a network mode. Options include the following:

  • Private—You can access the system only from a private network.

  • Public—You can access the system from a public network.

Token

Enter the Token for WeChat Token authentication.

WeChat Notification Server Address

Enter the domain name corresponding to the elastic IP of the system, for example, http://domain. If public network mode is used, enter http://domain/wehcat.

WeChat Menu

Enter the name of the WeChat menu, which will be displayed on the bottom of the WeChat official account page.

 

  1. Click OK.
