IaaS initialization configuration workflow

Figure-1 shows the procedure for IaaS service initialization configuration.

System administrator:

  1. Incorporates compute, storage, network, and security resource pools.

  1. Plans suborganizations and assigns quotas to the suborganizations.

  1. Creates approval workflows for each organization, and configures workflow notification policies for third-party platforms.

  1. Configures flavors and charging policies for cloud services.

Organization administrator:

  1. Plans suborganizations and users, and notifies a system administrator to assign quotas to the suborganizations.

  1. Assigns private networks and firewalls to users in the organization, and upload images required by VMs.

User:

  1. Requests cloud services. The system generates workflows and notifies approvers of each level to approve the workflows.

  1. After the workflows are approved, the system deploys resources automatically and charges the resources based on the charging policies defined by the system administrator.
