Users on the public network can log in to the Workspace client to access virtual applications through a gateway. Perform this task to configure the gateways for public network users to log in.
| Gateway configuration is only required for public network users who log in to the client using virtual applications through a gateway. Gateway configuration is not necessary for public network users who log in to the client using cloud desktops. |
From the left navigation pane, select System > External Services.
Click the Gateway tab.
Click Create.
In the dialog box that opens, configure the gateway settings as described in "Parameters," and specify the internal IP address as required.
Click OK.
Name: Name of a gateway.
Description: Description of the gateway.
Domain Name: Name of a public network domain.
Public IP: IP address of the gateway that provides the access service for public network users.
Public VDP Port: Public port number of the VDP protocol on the VDI gateway. The default is 8860.
Public VDP Service Port: Public port number of the VDP service. This port is used for the communication between Space Console and virtual applications or shared desktops through a gateway. If you do not specify a public VDP service port, the system uses the public VDP port as the public VDP service port.
Public VNC Port: Public port number of the VDP protocol on the VDI gateway. The port is used to perform remote assistance for IDV, and VOI/TCI endpoints via a gateway.
Private VDP Port: Port number for accessing the VDP protocol by using private IP addresses
Private VDP Service Port: Port number for connecting to virtual applications or shared desktops by using private IP addresses. If you do not specify a private VDP service port, the system uses the private VDP port as the private VDP service port.
Private IP Address: Private IP address for a gateway. The system supports detecting the connectivity between the private IP address of the gateway and the client. If you want to report the gateway connection failure alarm information to the management platform, you must configure the gateway's private IP address.
Type: Private IP address type. Options include VDP and Virtual Application.
From the left navigation pane, select System > External Services.
Click the Gateway tab.
Click Edit in the Actions column for a gateway to edit.
Configure the gateway settings as described in "Create a gateway."
Click OK.
From the left navigation pane, select System > External Services.
Click the Gateway tab.
Click Delete in the Actions column for a gateway to delete.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
From the left navigation pane, select System > External Services.
Click the Gateway tab.
Click Details in the Actions column for a gateway to view detailed gateway settings.
From the left navigation pane, select System > External Services.
Click the Gateway tab.
Click Collect Logs in the Actions column for a gateway.
Click Collect Logs in the Actions column for a gateway address.
Enter the root username and password of the gateway server, and then click OK.
From the left navigation pane, select System > External Services.
Click the Gateway tab.
Click Gateway Alarms.
