To manage a host through CVM, you must add the host to a host pool or cluster in CVM.
The version of CVK installed on the hosts to be added must be the same as the CVM version.
To perform unified management on x86 and ARM hosts, make sure the following conditions are met:
Hosts in the same cluster are consistent in architecture, either x86 or ARM.
ARM hosts in the same cluster are consistent in CPU model.
When you add multiple hosts in bulk, the number of IP addresses in the IP address pool cannot exceed 512, and the start IP address must be lower than the end IP address.
If the hosts to be added use shared file systems, add the hosts one by one to enable the system to initialize the shared file systems of the hosts.
To add a host mounted with a network file system or Windows shared directory storage pool, make sure the IP address you used to specify the host has the same version as the IP address of the storage pool.
If root SSH is not enabled, only user sysadmin can add hosts. The default password of user sysadmin is [email protected].
If you assign a CVM host as a CVK host to a host pool or cluster, reserve a minimum of 20 GB memory for the CVM component on the CVM host to ensure correct operation of the management platform.
On the top navigation bar, click Resources.
From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Host Pool Name or Compute > Host Pool Name > Cluster Name.
Click Add Host.
Select whether to add multiple hosts in bulk.
If you add one host, enter the IP address of the host and the password.
If you add multiple hosts in bulk, enter the start IP address and end IP address of the IP address pool to which the hosts belong as well as the password.
Click OK.
Start IP: Enter the start IP address of the IP address pool to which the hosts to be added belong. Configure this parameter when you add multiple hosts in bulk.
End IP: Enter the end IP address of the IP address pool to which the hosts to be added belong. Configure this parameter when you add multiple hosts in bulk.
IP: Enter the IP address of the host. Configure this parameter when you add one host.
Username: Username used by the system to access the host through SSH.
If root SSH is enabled, only user root is supported.
If root SSH is not enabled, only user sysadmin is supported.
Password: Enter the password of the username. If you add multiple hosts in bulk, the passwords of the hosts must be the same. The default password of user sysadmin is Sys@1234.com
Stretched Region: Host group to which the attached host of the VM belongs. This field is required only when stretched cluster is enabled.
Classification Level: Set the classification level of the host. Options are Top Secret, Secret, Confidential, and Internal Use Only. This parameter is available only after secure mode is enabled.
