Create an alarm rule

  1. On the top navigation bar, click System.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Alarm Center > Alarm Config > Alarm Rule.

  1. Click Create Alarm Rule.

  1. Configure the alarm rule parameters and click OK.

Parameter

Description

Name

Enter a name for the alarm rule. The rule name is displayed as the alarm name.

Indicator

Select an indicator.

·          Non-Running Pod Quantity Alarm: Quantity of non-running pods on the cluster.

·          Service CPU Usage Alarms (%): Service CPU usage of a pod.

·          Service Memory Usage Alarms (%): Service memory usage of a pod.

·          Node CPU Usage Alarms (%): CPU usage alarms of a node on the cluster.

·          Node Memory Usage Alarms (%): Memory usage alarms of a node on the cluster.

·          Node System Load (5m) Value Alarm: System load status of a node in the past five minutes.

·          Pod CPU Usage Alarms (%): CPU usage alarms of a pod.

·          Pod Memory Usage Alarms (%): Memory usage alarms of a pod.

·          Pod Used Memory Alarms (GB): Used memory alarms of a pod.

·          Unschedulable Node Quantity Alarm: Quantity of unschedulable nodes on the cluster.

·          Service Request Error Rate (%): Service request error rate of microservices.

·          Service Average Response Time (s): Service average response time of microservices.

·          Root Partition Disk Usage Alarm (%): Disk usage of all containers.

·          Controller CPU Usage Alarm (%): CPU usage alarms of controller resources.

·          Controller Memory Usage Alarm (%): Memory usage alarms of controller resources.

·          Registration Service Network IO Growth Rate Alarm (KB/min): Bandwidth growth rate of the Kong gateway of a service.

·          Gateway Network IO Growth Rate Alarm (KB/min): Bandwidth growth rate of the Kong gateway.

·          vCenter Host CPU Usage Alarms (%): CPU usage alarms of vCenter hosts.

·          vCenter Host Memory Usage Alarms (%): Memory usage alarms of vCenter hosts.

·          vCenter VM Memory Usage Alarms (%): Memory usage alarms of vCenter VMs.

·          vCenter VM CPU Usage Alarms (%): CPU usage alarms of vCenter VMs.

Severity

Select an alarm severity.

Threshold

Set an alarm threshold.

Duration

Set the alarm duration for triggering an alarm. An alarm is triggered only when the indicator stays above the alarm threshold for this duration.

User Label

Add user labels. If you enable alarm notifications, the system will send alarm notifications for the specified users if the user labels of the alarm rule match those configured for the alarm notifications.
