Create a 5-tuple-based rate limiting policy

 

·          Only cloud hosts of host overlay type support 5-tuple-based rate limiting policies.

·          5-tuple-based rate limiting policies require support from the controller. Contact H3C Support to determine whether the controller version supports 5-tuple-based rate limiting policies.

 

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Cloud Services, and then select QoS from the Network menu.

  1. Click 5-Tuple-Based Rate Limiting.

  1. Click Create.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, enter a policy name, select an organization, enter a description, and click Add Rules.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, configure rule parameters.

Parameter

Description

IP Version

Select an IP version. Options include IPv4 and IPv6.

Direction

Select a traffic direction.

  • Egress—Traffic sent from cloud hosts to remote sites.

·          Ingress—Traffic in the opposite direction.

Protocol

Select a protocol. Options include UDP and TCP. If you do not select a protocol, both protocols are selected by default.

Source Port/Destination Port

Enter a port in the range of 1 to 65535 or a port range separated by a hyphen (-). The first port number in the port range must be smaller than the second port number.

This field appears only if you have selected a protocol.

Source Address/Destination Address

Enter the source address and destination address to limit.

·          0.0.0.0/0 indicates any IPv4 addresses, and ::/0 indicates any IPv6 addresses.

·          You can enter a single IP address (for example, 192.163.3.3) or an IP subnet (for example, 192.168.3.3/16). If you enter nothing, no traffic is limited.

Average Rate

Specify the allowed average rate in Mbps.

Burst Buffer

Specify the allowed size of buffer reserved for bursty traffic, in Mbytes.

 

  1. Click OK. The new rule appears in the Rule area. You can click Add Rules to continue to add a rule. To delete a rule, click the  icon on the right.

  1. Click OK to add the 5-tuple-based rate limiting policy.
