Configure the VXLAN VPC networking scheme

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Network > Network Planning.

  1. Select the SDN network model.

  1. Configure basic information as required.

Tenant Isolation Mode

Select the VXLAN mode.

Hierarchical VXLAN

Select whether to enable the hierarchical VXLAN feature.

Hierarchical and flat VXLAN VPC deployments are the same except that they provide different number of layer 2 virtual networks.

  • A flat VXLAN VPC deployment uses one-to-one VLAN-to-VXLAN mapping and can support only a maximum of 4094 VXLANs.

  • A hierarchical VXLAN VPC deployment can support a maximum of 16 million VXLANs and hierarchical multi-egress port bindings.

VXLAN Range

Specify a VXLAN range after enabling hierarchical VXLAN. The value range is 1 to 16000000. In bare metal scenarios, the VXLAN range is 1 to 4094.

Controller Protocol

Specify the protocol used by the VCFC controller. Only HTTP is supported.

Controller IP

Specify the IP address of the VCFC controller.

Controller Port

Specify the port number of the VCFC controller.

Controller Username

Specify the username used for logging in to the VCFC controller.

Controller Password

Specify the password used for logging in to the VCFC controller.

 

  1. Click Check SDN Connection to verify controller connectivity.

  1. In the Compute Node Network Egress section, to edit the VLAN ID range for an egress, click Edit for the egress. On the page that opens, edit the VLAN range for the target egress, and then click OK.

  1. In the Elastic Network Export Name section, the system has a default egress with the default VLAN range of 2000 to 2999. To edit the VLAN ID range for the default egress, click Edit. You can also create multiple network egresses for elastic networks as needed.

  1. Click Save Configuration.
