Manage compute node network egresses

You can perform the following tasks:

• View compute node network egresses

• Create a compute node network egress

• Delete compute node network egresses

View compute node network egresses

1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

2. From the left navigation pane, select Network > Network Planning.

3. The Compute Node Network Egress area displays the existing network egresses.

Create a compute node network egress

Scenarios

For information about configuring compute nodes, see "Create a compute node".

 

The following scenarios are supported:

• Scenario 1: Configure compute nodes before configuring VLAN ranges for network egresses.

1. Create network egresses on the compute node configuration page. You must manually specify names for the network egresses.

The created network egresses will be automatically synchronized to the network planning page

2. Configure VLAN ranges for the created network egresses on the network planning page.

• Scenario 2: Configure VLAN ranges for network egresses before configuring compute nodes.

1. Create compute node network egresses on the network planning page. You must manually specify names and VLAN ranges for the network egresses.

2. On the compute node configuration page, configure compute nodes and select the created compute nodes for the compute nodes.

Procedure

Scenario 1

1. Create network egresses on the compute node configuration page. You must manually specify names for the network egresses.

2. Exit and then log in to the system.

3. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

4. From the left navigation pane, select Network > Network Planning.

5. In the Compute Node Network Egress area, click Modify in the Actions column of the created network egress.

6. Configure a VLAN range and then click OK.

7. Click Save Configuration.

Scenario 2

1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

2. From the left navigation pane, select Network > Network Planning.

3. In the Compute Node Network Egress area, click Create.

4. Configure a name and VLAN range. To add more egresses, click Add.

5. Click OK.

6. Click Save Configuration.

7. Exit and then log in to the system.

8. Configure compute nodes and select the created network egresses for the compute nodes.

Delete compute node network egresses

Compute node network egresses that have been used cannot be deleted.

 

1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

2. From the left navigation pane, select Network > Network Planning.

3. Click Delete in the Actions column of an egress, or select one or multiple egresses and then click Delete.

4. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
