Perform this task to control the rate of traffic on the desktops. In the current software version, overall rate limiting, IP&port-based rate limiting, and process-based rate limiting are supported.
From the left navigation pane, select Policies > Behavior Policies > Subpolicies > Traffic Rate Limit Policies.
Click Create.
Configure the following policy parameters, and then click OK:
Policy Name: Name of the traffic rate limit policy.
Description: Description of the traffic rate limit policy.
Overall Rate Limiting: Limits the overall rate.
Limit Type: Configure the policy to control inbound and outbound traffic as a whole or control inbound and outbound traffic separately. You must also specify the limit value in Kb/s.
Policy Description: Description of overall rate limiting.
IP&port-based rate limiting: Limits packets by IP packet or port number.
Limit Type: Configure the policy to control inbound and outbound traffic as a whole or control inbound and outbound traffic separately. You must also specify the limit value in Kb/s.
Policy Description: Description of IP&port-based rate limiting.
Start IP: Enter the start IP address for destination sites.
End IP: Enter the end IP address for destination sites.
Start Port: Enter the start port number for destination sites.
End Port: Enter the end port number for destination sites.
Protocol Type: Options include TCP, UDP, and All. By default, the protocol type is All.
Process-based rate limiting: Limits packets by process.
Limit Type: Configure the policy to control inbound and outbound traffic as a whole or control inbound and outbound traffic separately. You must also specify the limit value in Kb/s.
Policy Description: Description of process-based rate limiting.
Process Name: Specify the process to be rate limited.
Process Title: Title of the process to be rate limited.
From the left navigation pane, select Policies > Behavior Policies > Subpolicies > Traffic Rate Limit Policies.
Click Edit for the target traffic rate limit policy.
Configure the policy. For more information, see "Create a traffic rate limit policy."
Click OK.
From the left navigation pane, select Policies > Behavior Policies > Subpolicies > Traffic Rate Limit Policies.
Click Delete for the target traffic rate limit policy.
