You can perform the following tasks to manage storage volumes in the recycle bin:
Set the volume retention period—Perform this task to set the retention period for volumes in the recycle bin. A volume in the recycle bin will be deleted permanently after its retention period expires.
Set volume limit of the recycle bin—Perform this task to set the maximum number of volumes that can be retained in the recycle bin.
Restore volumes—Perform this task to restore the specified volumes in the recycle bin to their original paths.
Rename a volume in the recycle bin—Perform this task to rename a storage volume in the recycle bin before restoring the volume to avoid name conflict.
Delete volumes from the recycle bin—Perform this task to delete the specified storage volumes from the recycle bin and release resources.
Perform this task to set the retention period for volumes in the recycle bin. A volume in the recycle bin will be deleted permanently after its retention period expires. All data on the volume will be destroyed.
If you edit the retention period, the new retention period takes effect only on volumes moved to the recycle bin after the modification. |
From the navigation pane, select ONEStor > Block Storage.
Select Volume Management > Recycle Bin.
Click Set in the Retain Deleted Volumes For field.
In the dialog box that opens, set the retention period, and then click OK.
Perform this task to set the maximum number of volumes that can be retained in the recycle bin.
If the total number of volumes in the recycle bin and the volumes you are to delete exceeds the volume limit, the delete operation will fail. |
From the navigation pane, select ONEStor > Block Storage.
Select Volume Management > Recycle Bin.
Click Set in the Maximum Volumes Allowed field.
In the dialog box that opens, enter the volume limit, and then click OK.
Perform this task to restore the specified volumes in the recycle bin to their original paths. Data on these volumes are still available.
Make sure the original path of the volume to restore does not have a volume with the same name. Otherwise, rename the volume to restore. |
From the navigation pane, select Block Storage.
Select Volume Management > Recycle Bin.
Select a node pool, a disk pool, and a storage pool. Perform either of the following tasks:
To restore one storage volume, click Restore in the Actions column for that storage volume, and then click OK in the dialog box that opens.
To restore multiple storage volumes, select the target storage volumes, click Restore, and then click OK in the dialog box that opens.
Perform this task to rename a storage volume in the recycle bin before restoring the volume to avoid name conflict.
From the navigation pane, select Block Storage.
Select Volume Management > Recycle Bin.
Select a node pool, a disk pool, and a storage pool.
Click Rename for the target volume.
In the dialog box that opens, enter the new name, and then click OK.
Perform this task to delete the specified storage volumes from the recycle bin and release resources.
After you delete a volume from the recycle bin, the volume is permanently deleted from the cluster and cannot be restored. |
From the navigation pane, select Block Storage.
Select Volume Management > Recycle Bin.
Select a node pool, disk pool, and storage pool. Perform either of the following tasks:
To delete one storage volume from the recycle bin, click Delete in the Actions column for that storage volume, click OK, enter the required character string as instructed, and then click Yes.
