Perform this task to merge the multilevel image files of a shutdown VM to a level-1 image file. If the VM has multiple disks that have multilevel image files, the files are merged respectively for each disk.
Make sure the target VM is in shutdown state and does not have any snapshots or restore points, and the storage pool of the image files has sufficient space.
From the left navigation pane, select Data Center >Virtualization > Cluster name > Host name > VM name.
Click More, and click Merge Images.
