For a course that has not been published yet, you can publish, open console for, close, copy, create snapshot, download, edit, backup, or delete the course. For a course that has been published, you can cancel publishing, copy, create snapshot, download, backup, or delete the course.

Only a published course can be used in classes. You must close the course before publishing it.
When you publish a course, you can select a storage path created on the Data Center > Teaching Storage > GlusterFS Settings page or Data Center > Teaching Storage > Course Storage Pool Settings page. |
From the left navigation pane, select Images.
Click the Courses tab.
Select a storage path for the course, and click OK. As a best practice, select a GlusterFS storage path. The course will be published after a period of time.
From the left navigation pane, select Images.

In the dialog box that opens, click OK. The published course will be canceled after a period of time.
You can open the console for only a course that has not been published yet.

You can start only a closed course that has not been published yet.

You can copy both published and unpublished courses. The courses created from the copies are in unpublished state.

Specify the new course name, and specify whether to enable exam mode as needed.
Click OK.
You can create snapshots for both published and unpublished courses. Taking snapshots is a temporary disaster recovery solution. When the image files of VMs are damaged or deleted by mistake, snapshot data will also get lost. As a best practice for long-term use, back up VMs.
From the left navigation pane, select Images.
Click the Courses tab.
Click Create. In the dialog box that opens, enter the snapshot name and click OK.
To restore a snapshot for the course, select the snapshot and then click Restore. To delete the snapshot, select the snapshot and then click Delete.
You can download both published and unpublished courses.
From the left navigation pane, select Images.

In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
You can edit only a course that has not been published yet.

In the dialog box that opens, edit the settings, and then click OK.
Perform this task to clear teaching desktops for an exam course in the specified classroom after the class is dismissed. This task applies only to exam courses. You can also perform this task on the classroom page, or enable automatic exam desktop cleanup and set a cleanup schedule when creating or editing a classroom.
From the left navigation pane, select Images.
Click the Courses tab.
Select a classroom, and then click OK.
This task typically applies to courses in host network isolation scenarios, such as exam courses. Before starting such a class, back up the course to the backup storage pool on each intended host.
From the left navigation pane, select Images.

Click Backup Storage Pool Settings in the upper right corner of the page.
Click Edit in the Actions column for a host, select the storage path, and then click OK.
Perform this task to back up a VDI course to the specified backup storage pool.

From the left navigation pane, select Images.

Select one or more backup storage pools, and then click Back Up.
Perform this task to clear backup files for a specific course from the backup storage pool. This task applies to both published and unpublished courses.
From the left navigation pane, select Images.

Select one or more backup storage pools, and then click Clear.
You can delete both published and unpublished courses.

Click the name of a VDI course to view its information.
To close the dialog box, click OK.
Perform this task to migrate VDI courses to another storage pool. Before migration, the course must be in an unpublished state.
