Create an image pool

Procedure

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Images.

  1. Click the Image Pools tab.

  1. Click Create Image Pool.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, configure related information and click OK.

Parameters

When you select the Local File Directory type, enter the target path. This parameter is not supported in the stateful failover system.

When you select the iSCSI Shared Directory type, enter the target path and IP address, and select a LUN.

When you select the FC Shared Directory type, enter the target path and select an NAA.

When you select the Network File System type, enter the target path, source host IP, and source path. ARM hosts do not support the Network File System type in the current software version.

When you select the GlusterFS Storage type, enter the target path, and select storage. VDI course do not support GlusterFS Storage type.

Delete an image pool

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Images.

  1. Click the Image Pools tab.

  1. Click Delete in the Actions column for the image pool to be deleted.

  1. Click OK in the confirmation dialog box that opens.

View an image pool

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Images.

  1. Click the Image Pools tab.

  1. Click More in the Actions column for the image pool to be viewed, and select View Details.

  1. View details of the image pool.

Enable an image pool

This feature is supported only when the image pool type is iSCSI or FC shared directory.

To enable an image pool:

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Images.

  1. Click the Image Pools tab.

  1. Click More in the Actions column for the image pool to be enabled, and select Enable Image Pool.

  1. In the confirmation dialog box that opens, click OK.

Disable an image pool

This feature is supported only when the image pool type is iSCSI or FC shared directory.

To disable an image pool:

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Images.

  1. Click the Image Pools tab.

  1. Click More in the Actions column for the image pool to be disabled, and select Disable Image Pool.

  1. In the confirmation dialog box that opens, click OK.

Select the upload directory for endpoint images

The desktop images completely built on the IDV and VOI endpoints will be automatically uploaded to the selected upload directory for endpoint images.

To select the upload directory for endpoint images:

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Images.

  1. Click the Image Pools tab.

  1. Click  to the right of Upload Directory for Endpoint Image in the upper right corner, and select a directory.

  1. Click .
