Image tools are used for the creation of VDI, IDV, and VOI image desktops. In the current software version, only the optimization tools package (H3C_Workspace-version-OptTools.zip) can be uploaded. The package contains optimization tools VDIOptTools.iso, IDVOptTools.iso, and VOIOptTools.iso.
· To mount an optimization tool when creating an image desktop, you must upload the tool in advance. · The E1015 optimization tool can be used to optimize image source VMs with Windows 7 or Windows 10 installed. For other operating systems, use the optimization tool of an earlier version for optimization. · The optimization tool package is released with the software version as an independent package. · After adding a new CVK host to the cluster, you must upload the optimization tool package again. |
Perform this task to upload an image tool to the image tool list of Space Console. You can mount an uploaded image tool to an image source VM by using the optimization tool mounting function of the console. Make sure the version of the uploaded image tool is the same as the version of Space Console. If you upload an image tool of any other version, such as an outdated version, an image source VM will prompt for version inconsistency between the image tool and Space Console after the image tool is mounted.
From the left navigation pane, select Applications > Image Tools.
Click Upload.
Click Upload, and then select the target tool.
After the tool is successfully uploaded, click OK.
From the left navigation pane, select Applications > Image Tools.
Click Download in the Actions column for an image tool.
From the left navigation pane, select Applications > Image Tools.
Click Edit in the Actions column for an image tool.
Configure the description, and then click OK.
From the left navigation pane, select Applications > Image Tools.
Click Delete in the Actions column for an image tool.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
To reoptimize the image created before the upgrade in the upgrade environment, use the optimization tool earlier than E1015 as a best practice.
From the left navigation pane, select Data Center > Virtualization, and click the VMs tab.
Click Edit in the Actions column of the target VM.
Click the CD-ROM tab, and click Connect. In the dialog box that opens, select Image for the Type field, and click the icon to access the Select Storage page.
Click the isopool tab, select an optimization tool based on the VM type, and then click OK.
For example, select VDIOptTools-old.iso for VDI VMs.
