Display performance monitoring information about a VM

Perform this task to view the statistics such as CPU usage and memory usage statistics of the specified VM for the specified time period. You can set criteria to filter the statistics and save the results to the local disk.

Procedure

1. On the top navigation bar, click Monitor.

2. From the left navigation pane, select Statistics Reports > VMs.

3. Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."

4. Click Filter.

The VM performance statistics are displayed on the area below.

5. To save the chart as a picture, click the  icon.

6. To export the VM performance statistics, click Export.

Parameters

• VM: Select the target VM.

• Statistics Interval: Select a statistics interval. Options include Hour, Day, Week, Month, and Year.

• Date: Specify the start time and end time for statistics filter. The start time cannot be later than the end time. The default start time is the day before the current day. The end time cannot be earlier than the start time. The default end time is the day before the current day.

• Statistics Items: Select the statistics items. Options include CPU Usage, Memory Usage, Disk Usage, Disk Read Rate, Disk Write Rate, Disk I/O Throughput, Total Network Traffic, Network Read Traffic, Network Write Traffic, Network Read Rate, Network Write Rate, GPU/vGPU Usage, GPU/vGPU Video Memory Usage, GPU/vGPU Encoding Rate, and GPU/vGPU Decoding Rate. ARM hosts do not support the display of GPU/vGPU usage, GPU/vGPU video memory usage, GPU/vGPU encoding rate, or GPU/vGPU decoding rate information.

• CPU Usage: CPU usage statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period.

• Memory Usage: Memory usage statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period.

• Disk Usage: Disk usage statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period.

• Disk Read Rate Statistics: Disk read rate statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period.

• Disk Write Rate Statistics: Disk write rate statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period.

• I/O Throughput Statistics: Disk I/O throughput statistics of the VM for the specified time period.

• Network Traffic Statistics: Network traffic statistics of the VM for the specified time period.

• Network Read Traffic Statistics: Network read traffic statistics of the VM for the specified time period.

• Network Write Traffic Statistics: Network write traffic statistics of the VM for the specified time period.

• Network Read Rate Statistics: Network read rate statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period.

• Network Write Rate Statistics: Network write rate statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period.

• GPU/vGPU Usage: GPU/vGPU usage statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period. ARM hosts do not support this field.

• GPU/vGPU Video Memory Usage: GPU/vGPU video memory usage statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period. ARM hosts do not support this field.

• GPU/vGPU Encoding Rate: GPU/vGPU encoding rate statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period. ARM hosts do not support this field.

• GPU/vGPU Decoding Rate: GPU/vGPU decoding rate statistics (including the average, maximum, and minimum values) of the VM for the specified time period. ARM hosts do not support this field.
