The kernel version must be between 2.6.18 and 4.14.0. P2V migration is also compatible with customized Linux versions not in the version list as long as they pass POC test, such as the operating systems customized based on the core management suite of Redhat, CentOS, or Ubuntu Linux. P2V migration is compatible with the Linux operating systems running on both servers and desktops. |

You can migrate physical servers and VMs created by mainstream hypervisors such as VMware and Xen to CAS.
If the kernel version of the source Linux host is earlier than 2.6.25, the host is incompatible with VirtIO after migration or disaster recovery. As a best practice, set the disk controller type to IDE or SATA for the migrated or recovered VM.
