(Optional) Configure compute node settings

If the password for the system administrator of the UIS standard edition is changed, you must change the password accordingly on the advanced features page.

Restrictions and guidelines

Removing a compute node connection will disable the UIS-Sec platform from managing the VMs running on the compute node. Before you perform this operation, verify that the compute node is no longer needed. If you remove a compute node by mistake, incorporate it again and add compute and storage AZs.

Procedure

1. On the top navigation bar, click System.

2. From the left navigation pane, select Advanced Settings > Advanced Features.

3. Configure the compute node parameters as described in "Parameters."

Parameters

• Compute Node Service State: Service state of the UIS standard edition. If the service state is abnormal, the UIS standard edition cannot provide compute services to the UIS-Sec portal of UIS Manager Standard Edition, and the UIS-Sec component VMs cannot provide services.

• Synchronize Compute Node Password: Synchronize the password for the system administrator of the UIS standard edition. If you do not synchronize the password after the password for the system administrator of the UIS standard edition is changed, the service state of the compute node will become abnormal.

• Detach From Compute Node: Click the  icon to detach the compute node from the UIS standard edition. After that, the service state of the compute node becomes abnormal.
