When you deploy UIS-Sec gateway component VMs, the system by default uses the vSwitch named vs_gateway. Using any other vSwitch might affect services. As a best practice, create vSwitch vs_gateway before deploying UIS-Sec gateway component VMs and use this vSwitch for deployment.
To deploy a UIS-Sec gateway VM enabled with the DPDK feature, you must enable DPDK for the vSwitch.
UIS-Sec gateway VM enabled with DPDK requires host-dedicated CPU resources and physical NICs that support DPDK. This ensures high network performance, but has high hardware requirements. As a best practice, do not enable the DPDK feature.
To create a vSwitch enabled with DPDK, make sure the host is enabled with DPDK and the physical NIC bound to the vSwitch supports DPDK.
Make sure a minimum of three service hosts exist in the UIS cluster.
Make sure a minimum of one Ethernet port is available on each host. As a best practice, make sure each host has two idle Ethernet ports and configure link aggregation.
To use DPDK, make sure the Ethernet ports to use support DPDK.
