Create a router

Make sure UIS-Sec has been deployed correctly and UIS-Sec can communicate with the VIP of the UIS Cloud cluster correctly. Create a router and click AZs in the advanced settings to verify that the deployed UIS-Sec is displayed in the AZ list. If it is not displayed, check whether UIS-Sec and UIS Cloud can reach each other.

To avoid primary router election and router gateway access errors, make sure vSwitch vs_gateway has the corresponding physical NIC and the VLAN configuration of the connected switch port is correct (permit VLANs of network egresses uis, physnet1, and routerha).

To create more routers after the number of existing routers reaches the limit, deploy more UIS-Sec component VMs or increase the number of vRouters supported by each network node on the System > Advanced Settings > Advanced Features page.

Procedure

On UIS Cloud, click Cloud Services on the top navigation bar.

On the UIS-Sec portal of UIS Manager Standard Edition, click Network Services on the top navigation bar.

From the left navigation pane, select Network & Security > Routers.

Click Create.

Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."

Click Create.

Parameters

Basic parameters:

Name: Enter a name for the router.

Firewall: Select a firewall for the router. You can also attach a firewall to the router later. To create firewalls, access the Cloud Services > Network & Security > Firewalls page.

Description: Enter a description for the router.

Advanced parameters:

AZ: Select an AZ for the router.
