Perform this task to configure the syslog server. After configuration, the system sends syslog information for specific operations to the syslog server.
You must specify the IP address of the management node on the syslog server. If stateful failover is configured, you must specify the IP addresses of both the primary and backup nodes to ensure that the syslog server can obtain logs correctly after a primary/backup switchover.
On the top navigation bar, click System.
From the left navigation pane, select Parameters.
Click the Syslog Server tab.
Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."
Click Save.
IP Address: Enter the IP address of the syslog server. If you enter multiple IP addresses, use semicolons to separate the addresses, 192.168.0.27;192.168.0.28 or FC00::1;FC00::2 for example.
Protocol: Select a protocol to send syslog messages. Options include UDP and TCP.
