Manage external VM templates

Restrictions and guidelines

For UniCloud Usphere and external CAS, manage VM templates from the left navigation tree on the Resources page.

Clone an external VM into a template

1. On the top navigation bar, click Local Resources, and then select an external platform.

2. Click the VM List tab.

3. Click More in the Actions column for the target external VM, and then select Clone as Template. Alternatively, click the name of the target VM, click More on the Overview tab, and then select Clone as Template.

4. Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."

5. Click OK.

Create an external VM by using a template

1. On the top navigation bar, click Local Resources, and then select an external platform.

2. Click the Template tab.

3. Click Deploy VM in the Actions column for the target template.

4. Configure the parameters as described in "Parameters."

5. Click OK.

Delete an external VM template

1. On the top navigation bar, click Local Resources, and then select an external platform.

2. Click the Template tab.

3. Click Delete in the Actions column for the target template.

4. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Parameters

• Template Name: Enter a name for the template.

• Host: Select a host for the template or VM.

• Storage: Select a storage pool for the template or VM.
