Manage external VM backup files

After you back up an external VM, you can view the backup file on the backup list tab and import the backup file to CAS as a VM.

Restrictions and guidelines

For UniCloud Usphere and external CAS, manage VM backup files from the Backup Management tab on the VM summary page.

View VM backup files

1. On the top navigation bar, click Local Resources, and then select an external platform.

2. Click the Backup List tab.

The left pane of this tab displays all VMs that have been backed up.

3. To view backup files of a VM, click the name of the VM.

Import an external VM backup file to CAS

1. On the top navigation bar, click Local Resources, and then select an external platform.

2. Click the Backup List tab.

3. Click the name of a VM on the left pane.

4. Click Import in the Actions column for the target backup file.

5. Configure the parameters as described in "Migrate an external VM to CAS."

6. Click OK.

Delete an external VM backup file

1. On the top navigation bar, click Local Resources, and then select an external platform.

2. Click the Backup List tab.

3. Click the name of a VM on the left pane.

4. Click Delete in the Actions column for the target backup file.

5. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
