Add domain users and groups

Create a domain user

Perform this task only if you need to add a few number of domain users.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, select Users > Domain Users.

  1. On the Users tab of the Overview page, the page of an OU, or the page of a user group, click Create.

  1. Configure basic parameters for the user, and then click Next: Extension.

  1. Configure extended parameters for the user, and then click Next: Confirm Configuration.

  1. Verify that the configuration is correct.

  1. Click OK.

Import domain users

Perform this task to add a large number of domain users in a short time. For example, you can import all user information to a newly deployed VDI environment.

As a best practice, download the template file, add user information to the downloaded file, and then upload the file back to the Space Console.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, select Users > Domain Users.

  1. On the Users tab of the Overview page, the page of an OU, or the page of a user group, click Import.

  1. Click Download Template and add domain user information to the downloaded file.

  1. Upload the file to the Space Console and configure other import parameters.

  1. Click Next: Preview.

  1. Verify that the configuration is correct.

  1. Click OK.

Create a domain user group

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, select Users > Domain Users.

  1. On the Overview page or on the page of an OU, click the User Groups tab, and then click Create.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, configure domain user group parameters.

  1. Click OK.

Manage grade levels (education scenario)

In the current software version, ARM hosts do not support grade level management.

Create a grade level

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, select Users > Domain Users.

  1. Click Manage Grade Levels in the upper-right corner of the page.

  1. Click Create.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, configure the grade level name and the lower-level grade.

  1. Click OK.

The new grade level is displayed in the Manage Grade Levels dialog box.

Delete a grade level

  1. From the navigation pane, select Users > Domain Users.

  1. Click Manage Grade Levels in the upper-right corner of the page.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, click Delete in the Actions column for a grade level.

  1. Click OK.
