Synchronize configurations

After adding an authentication server, perform this task to synchronize the organization unit (OU) configuration of Space Center with the authentication server. An OU is a container that logically groups objects within a domain. An OU contains one or multiple objects such as user accounts, groups, computers, printers, applications, file sharing or other OUs.

Add a configuration

Perform this task to add a configuration entry for an authentication server to be synchronized with Space Center. You can customize the name for the configuration entry, and the subdomain base DN must exist on the authentication server.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select System Settings > Authentication configuration > Sync Settings.

  1. Click Add.

  1. Specify a name, select whether to create an LDAP user default group, and select an authentication server and the corresponding subdomain base DN.

  1. Click OK.

Synchronize immediately

Perform this task to synchronize the configuration such as the user accounts with an authentication server.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select System Settings > Authentication configuration > Sync Settings.

  1. Use the following methods to synchronize the information:

Schedule a synchronization

Perform this task to configure a schedule for synchronizing configuration of all authentication servers.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select System Settings > Authentication configuration > Sync Settings.

  1. Click Scheduled Sync.

  1. On the dialogue box that opens, configure a scheduled time for the synchronization, and then click OK.

Edit a configuration entry

  1. From the left navigation pane, select System Settings > Authentication configuration > Sync Settings.

  1. Click Edit in the Operate column for the target configuration entry.

  1. On the dialogue box that opens, edit the name, select whether to create an LDAP user default group, and then click OK.

Delete a configuration entry

Perform this task to delete a configuration entry with the associated users and user groups.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select System Settings > Authentication configuration > Sync Settings.

  1. Click Delete in the Operate column for the target configuration entry.

  1. On the dialogue box that opens, click OK.
