Perform this task to view storage resource statistics about the specified number of VMs with the highest statistics metric values. You can set criteria to filter the statistics and save the results to the local disk.
If the name length of a host or VM in the statistics information exceeds seven characters, only the first seven characters will be displayed.
On the top navigation bar, click Monitor.
From the left navigation pane, select Resource Usage > VM Storage Statistics.
Select a host pool, a cluster, and a host, specify the number of VMs to display, and then click Query.
You can hover over the chart to view the names and statistics about the VMs.
To reset the filter criteria, click Reset.
To export the statistics, click Export.
Host Pool: Host pool to which a host or VM is attached.
Cluster: Cluster to which a host or VM is attached. This parameter is available after you select a host pool.
Host: Host to which a VM is attached. This parameter is available after you select a host pool.
TopN: Number of VMs to display of disk write latency or disk read latency. Options include 5 and 10.
Metrics: Metrics for displaying TopN VMs. Options include Disk Write Latency, Disk Read Latency, Disk Write Request, Disk Read Request, and Disk I/O Throughput.
Disk Write Latency: The specified number of VMs with the highest disk write latency values arranged from left to right in descending order of latency value in a column chart. The horizontal axis represents the VM name and the vertical axis represents the disk write latency.
Disk Read Latency: The specified number of VMs with the highest disk read latency values arranged from left to right in descending order of latency value in a column chart. The horizontal axis represents the VM name and the vertical axis represents the disk read latency.
Disk Write Request: The specified number of VMs with the highest disk write request values arranged from left to right in descending order of disk write request value in a column chart. The horizontal axis represents the VM name and the vertical axis represents the disk write request value.
Disk Read Request: The specified number of VMs with the highest disk read request values arranged from left to right in descending order of disk write request value in a column chart. The horizontal axis represents the VM name and the vertical axis represents the disk read request value.
