Manage LUNs of FC network storage

When an operator adds a storage pool of the FC network storage type on a host, the system adds the storage pool by NAA. An NAA is associated with a LUN. The storage pool can have multiple LUNs. Operators can add or delete LUNs for the storage pool.

Add a LUN

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Host Pool Name > Host Name or Compute > Host Pool Name > Cluster Name > Host Name.

  1. Click the Storage tab.

  1. Select an FC network storage pool.

The storage volumes of the storage pool are displayed in the Storage Volumes area.

  1. Click Add LUN.

  1. Click the  icon to search LUNs.

  1. If multiple LUNs are found, click the  icon to select a LUN.

  1. Click OK.

Delete a LUN

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Host Pool Name > Host Name or Compute > Host Pool Name > Cluster Name > Host Name.

  1. Click the Storage tab.

  1. Select a storage pool.

The storage volumes of the storage pool are displayed in the Storage Volumes area.

  1. Click Delete in the Actions column for the target storage volume.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Parameters

NAA: Identifier of the physical LUN on the storage server. An NAA can be used to identify only one LUN.
