Host port rules

CVM issues port rules to affected hosts to enable or disable ports when the following events occur:

When hosts are added or connected, port rules are issued only to the added or connected hosts. In other situations, port rules are issued to all hosts.

Host port rules are supported only when the secure mode is enabled.

Restrictions and guidelines

Add a host port rule

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Resources.

  1. Click the Host Port Rules tab.

  1. Click Add Host Port Rule.

  1. Specify a port range, enter a description, and then specify whether to enable the ports.

  1. Click OK.

Edit a host port rule

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Resources.

  1. Click the Host Port Rules tab.

  1. Click Edit in the Actions column for a host port rule.

  1. Specify a port range, enter a description, and then specify whether to enable the ports.

  1. Click OK.

Enable a host port rule

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Resources.

  1. Click the Host Port Rules tab.

  1. Click Enable in the Actions column for a host port rule.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Disable a host port rule

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Resources.

  1. Click the Host Port Rules tab.

  1. Click Disable in the Actions column for a host port rule.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Delete a host port rule

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Resources.

  1. Click the Host Port Rules tab.

  1. Click Delete in the Actions column for a host port rule.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Bulk enable host port rules

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Resources.

  1. Click the Host Port Rules tab.

  1. Select one or multiple host port rules, click Bulk Operation, and then select Enable.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Bulk disable host port rules

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Resources.

  1. Click the Host Port Rules tab.

  1. Select one or multiple host port rules, click Bulk Operation, and then select Disable.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.

Bulk delete host port rules

  1. On the top navigation bar, click Resources.

  1. From the left navigation pane, select Compute > Resources.

  1. Click the Host Port Rules tab.

  1. Select one or multiple host port rules, click Bulk Operation, and then select Delete.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
