Enable secondary block device protection

Perform this task to set the secondary block device read-only in a replication pair.

Restrictions and guidelines

• This task is applicable only to replication pairs in Abnormally Stopped or Split state.

• If a pair is not enabled with secondary block device protection, you cannot perform synchronization for the pair.

• If a pair is enabled with secondary block device protection, the secondary block device cannot provide services.

Procedure

2. Select Storage Disaster Recovery from the navigation pane.

3. Click the Async Remote Replication tab.

4. Select a pair, and then click More Actions > Enable Secondary Block device Protection.

5. In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
