In storage resource pool management, storage resources of different hypervisors are identified by storage flavors. Each storage flavor contains one or multiple storage pools. If you select a storage flavor when creating a cloud host or cloud disk, the system will place the volumes of the cloud host's system disk or the cloud disk in the storage pools of the storage flavor.
For CAS, make sure the CVK VMs in a cluster are attached to the same shared storage pool, and the local storage pools on the CVK VMs use the same name.
For VMware, make sure the ESX VMs in a cluster are attached to the same shared storage pool, and the local storage pools on the ESX VMs use the same name.
VMware does not allow two storage volumes to use the same name. If two storage volumes use the same name, VMware adds a numeric suffix enclosed in parentheses to the name of one of the storage volumes. For example, if the local file systems of ESX VM A and ESX VM B are named datastore, VMware renames the local file system of ESX VM B datastore(1). UIS Cloud identifies the names that differ only in the suffix number as identical. If you change the suffix format, UIS Cloud will identify the names as different.
The default storage flavor is General, for which the system randomly selects a storage pool.
On the top navigation bar, click Cloud O&M, and then select Infrastructure > Storage Resource Pools from the navigation pane.
Click Create.
Configure the storage flavor parameters.
Click Create.
On the top navigation bar, click Cloud O&M, and then select Infrastructure > Storage Resource Pools from the navigation pane.
Select one or multiple storage flavors, and then click Delete.
In the dialog box that opens, click OK.
Name: Enter a name for the storage flavor. The name will be displayed in the storage type list when you create a cloud host or cloud disk s-flavor.
AZ: Select an availability zone. The system will display the storage resource pools in the selected availability zone. When you create a storage flavor for cloud hosts, select a compute availability zone. When you create a storage flavor for cloud disks, select a storage availability zone.
Type: Select a file system type.
Shared File System—Shared storage resources on the compute node that hosts the selected availability zone.
Local File System—Local storage resources of all physical servers on the compute node that hosts the selected availability zone.
